Our Home Base for our time in Sicily,

May I present the Villa Apollo.

Nestled in the heart of western Sicily, in the rolling hills of vineyards and dramatic vistas this is where we will come home to every night.

There are 7 available rooms, each with their own private bathroom. The property offers beautiful lounging areas inside and out, a pool, a hot tub, a gym, and a gorgeous outdoor table.

This is where we will gather in the mornings for breakfast, spend some down time, host discussions and learn Italian cooking!

Meet Roberto, our Private Chef!

He is a corn and raised Sicilian and restaurant owner in the outskirts of Trapani. Fun fact, Roberto and Michele used to be in a punk band together and have formed a lifelong friendship. Roberto will be with us making delicious breakfasts most mornings and will be leading us in our italian cooking class, from market to plate.

We couldn’t be luckier to have Roberto by our side.

Sicily Photography Tour

I fell in love with Italy when I studied abroad in Rome in college. Little did I know that my travels would one day lead to meeting my Italian photography co-host in Baja, Mexico. We dreamed up this idea of taking people to beautiful Italy, to Sicily where we can explore the land and photography together. We both adore travel and have spent our lives building our photography careers. We want to connect, teach, inspire and learn - all amongst the setting of traveling deeper, in a small connected group with like minded interests - those being photography, travel, unique experience and FOOD!

During this trip Michele and I will be hosting discussions on different styles of photography - portraits, street style, life style and food. We will be planning each excursion day around a different area of photography and how to best tell your travel story through your lens. We will also discuss ways of traveling with your gear, keeping yourself and your gear safe, camera etiquette, how to store your images and what to do with them once your trip has ended.

This is my dream - to share a travel adventure with my fellow photographers, to teach you something new about your camera and yourself, to experience and enjoy all the Sicily has to offer.

My approach is all about finding beauty in the details, the real, the authentic. I love creating portraits or capturing intimate, candid moments that become artifacts of your life. Michele Ricucci , a travel and street photographer, has a unique approach that combines art and healing. For me, photography is not just about capturing an image—it’s a tool for embracing creativity and connecting deeply with the world around me. With a focus on street photography, I will show you how to embrace the spontaneity of everyday life, encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone and photograph the world with a sense of wonder and curiosity.
